Backwards Compatibility:The UK PS3 will have partial backwards compatibility of PS2 titles, but most if not all PSOne games should work fine! An announcement from Sony near the end of Feb 2007 stated the European/Australian version of the PlayStation 3 Hardware will now run its backward compatibility using emulation, compared to how the USA and Japan's Hardware uses the actual PlayStation 2 emotion chip. At Launch they said the Euro version should run around 1000* PS2 titles, and more will follow over time. But they will be concentrating more on PS3 development. A List of titles is located at - faq.eu.playstation.com/bc* Recent update: List of titles is now around 1800 for the launch, and is on the above site, which was released early due to public demands!
